Environmental systems

The environmental system standard ISO 14001:2004, granted to Korhonen Furniture Factory, ensures that environmental factors are taken into consideration throughout the operations of the manufacturing facility. The products are designed to be in use long-term and to preserve their value as well as comfort and safety for their users well into the future. Materials are chosen for production whose manufacturing processes load the environment as little as possible. In its operations, Korhonen endeavours to prevent contamination of the environment by continuously reducing the amount of wastes, promoting recycling and the utilization of waste products, and recycling packaging materials in the transport of goods as well as selecting modes of transportation through which packaging and the requirement for transport itself are minimized.
