Birchwood used in production is felled from the mixed forests of Central and East Finland. Special attention is already given to the quality of the birch at the saw mill. The correct treatment of the wood from stump to factory ensures the pale colour of the birch: felling and sawing occur during the frost season – in the summer, the boards are dried naturally through the effect of wind and sun in the factory’s timberyard.
